Story
I have enjoyed running regularly over the last 10 years and have often thought it would be a great achievement to run the London Marathon. I have also spent my whole adult career working with children, teaching history at secondary level and while on maternity leave I volunteered as chairperson of my children’s preschool. So it seemed a natural choice to raise funds for YHA through running the London Marathon. I am really hopeful that I can reach the target figure and hopefully make a positive difference to some young people’s lives. Here the YHA explain their work. Today millions of young people live challenging lives together we can help create unforgettable moments in amazing places, on their first big adventure. With your support we can deliver experiences that have the power to change young people’s futures. Moments where young people believe in themselves for the first time, recognise their talents and develop the ambitions that will take them on a different path through life. For the millions of young people facing poverty, disability, long-term illness and other challenges, these moments are rare.
Many thanks for considering sponsoring me.
