Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am doing a sponsored silence on the 7th of June with two friends.  We are each doing it for a different charity. I'm doing it for the Alzheimers Dementia Support because two years ago my granddad was diagnosed with dementia. At first there were only a few changes, he wouldn't be able to walk without a walking frame and would barely talk but then he couldn't walk or do anything for himself. My nan tried her hardest to look after him but then he had to be put in a care home, in the end he was put in a hospital and was so bad he couldn't drink without choking. I was devastated and in January when he died it was the worst thing that had ever happened to me. I still think about him and wish he was here and was happy and active always fixing things like he used to. That's why I chose this charity, I want people to find a cure for every disease but especially this one. If you have a loved one who has/had dementia think would they really like the end of there life to be like that?
