Wirral Hospice St John's provides specialist palliative care for the Wirral. It costs up to £7m a year to run the Hospice, which is at no charge to our patients. This is all thanks to the loyal support and commitment of our supporters who do so much to help raise funds for our charity's work.

Story

I will be running the Chester half marathon on the 13th May to help raise money for St John's Hospice in loving memory of my mum Eve.

The staff here are amazing and what they do goes above and beyond their job, they were supportive, friendly and respectful when we needed it most. The hospice provided a calm, peaceful and very personal enviroment which I am very greatful for.

St John's Philospohy;

"The aim of Wirral Hospice St John's is to warmly welcome people with progressive illness, which has failed to respond to curative treatment, into the quiet calm of a highly professional caring atmosphere, which comforts always both them and those who are important to them."

The annual costs of running the hospice grows each year  – this year the cost of running the Hospice will be £3.1 million pounds. The hospice relies mainly on voluntary donations from local sources to continue to provide the 24 hour special care that they give.

Any donations you can give would be greatly appreciated by me and greatly received by the hospice!
