Wholefoods Market Breakfast Run 2012 · 1 April 2012 ·
On October the 19th 2009, our son Fraser was delivered 11 weeks prematurely and weighing in at a mighty 2lb 3oz. He was immediately put into the care of the Neo Natal Unit at Kingston Hospital. Meanwhile Kier and I were taken under the wing of Pauline who runs the unit's charity "Born Too Soon". Thanks to Pauline's support throughout the many ups and downs and the extraordinary talents of the doctors and nurses in the unit, Fraser was home in time for Christmas 2009. He is now a healthy and (mostly) happy 2-year-old.
We will never be able to repay the Neo Natal team for saving Fraser's life (and I promise that isn't an exaggeration - they did, on several occasions). However, I will be running 8 miles at the Kingston Breakfast Run on the 1st April and, of course, hope to raise some cash for their charity "Born Too Soon".
I know it's only a paltry 8 miles but give me a break, I'm not ready for a marathon yet.
Thanks so much x
