Story

I am an Aplastic Anaemia patient. Aplastic Anaemia is a life threatening bone marrow disease, I was diagnosed in July 2015 and underwent treatment in The Churchill, Oxford, to try to cure the disease in March 2016. The treatment I had was called ATG with cyclosporine and I am still taking cyclosporine - which is an immune suppressant drug. So far so good! I feel so lucky to have caught the disease early and really hope that the treatment I am undergoing proves to be a success.

Sam (my husband) is now racing the London marathon! So is hoping to raise a little more for the Aplastic Anaemia Trust. Sam and I ran the Reading Half Marathon with our family and friends and have managed to raise £4,800! Sam is hoping to get the total up and above £6,000. We have been so overwhelmed with everyones generosity so far :)

We hope to raise as much money as we can to help put Aplastic Anaemia on the map - and to help people with future treatment and support. The nurses and doctors who have helped me through my treatment have been amazing - I feel so lucky to have been supported so well throughout - not only from the nurses, doctors and specialists but from my friends and family too.
