We need your help to bring the future of medical imaging to Sheffield.

Story

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page for The Big Walk 2017.

I am aiming to walk a 50 mile route in 24 hours, in aid of the The University of Sheffield's £2 million fundraising campaign for the Sheffield Scanner. This is a ground-breaking MRI-PET scanner facility, and the first of its kind in Yorkshire (www.sheffield.ac.uk/sheffieldscanner).

The Sheffield Scanner will represent the next leap forward in medical and imaging research, and have a crucial role for developments in
many areas of medicine, including cancer, Neurodegenerative Diseases such as Motor Neurone Disease, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s, Heart
Disease, Diabetes and Stroke.

This technology will hugely benefit the people of Sheffield and the surrounding areas, and bring the University a step forward in Advanced Medical research!
