Story

On 31st March a group of us from York will be taking on the National 3 Peaks Challenge, climbing the 3 tallest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales - Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon. The challenge is to climb all of the peaks within 24 hours.

We will be completing this challenge to raise money for SCBU at York Hospital. The Special Care Baby Unit do amazing work in providing care and treatment of premature and sick new born babies. The money raised will go towards providing much needed specialised medical and surgical equipment, as well as improved facilities and education and training.

Taking part in the challenge is Dean Mcquade, Dale Waddington, Jake Gooch, Tom Boyle, John Bird, Mike Byram, Dan Boyne, Nath Green, Ross Hornby, Harry Pashby, Dom Clemit, Shaun Gowland and Danny Woodhouse. Any donations no matter how big or small would be hugely appreciated!!

About the charity

“We support the relief, care and treatment of premature and sick new born babies in the SCBU at York Hospital, by assisting with the purchase of specialised medical equipment, improving amenities and facilities, supporting parents and siblings and helping with the training of staff on the unit."
