In memory of Aisha Roberts

ACLT is a charity committed to helping provide hope to patients living with blood cancer and other illnesses where a matched donor (stem cell, blood or organ) is required to save a life. Our work is driven by a belief that no one should die waiting for a donor to become available.

Story

Sadly, earlier this year - our dear friend and family member - Aisha Roberts passed away.

In memory of her amazing spirit and incredible attitude to life - it has been decided that I need to do a Tough Mudder

The team will consist of Aaron Roberts - Aisha's younger brother, Raj and Ned - her former housemates and friends. Raj previously ran Tough Mudder with her in 2013. Ned once ran to the pub when Aisha asked him previously but is now getting his arse in gear to make her proud.

Considering that I have only ever been in a gym twice in my life before this week I think this is going to be particularly difficult to me, and particularly amusing for people watching.

Fun aside, Aisha - we miss you very much and we know how much jokes it would give you to see us in pain rolling around in the mud.

Tough Mudder is a 12 mile marathon course include electric shocks, Ice baths, running through fire, and copious amounts of mud.

Every penny raised will go to ACLT - a charity that Aisha strongly believed in and had previously fundraised for.

The ACLT is a leading Leukaemia charity dedicated to raising awareness of the shortage of ethnic minority donors on the UK Bone Marrow, Organ and Blood registers.
