Barnstaple Half Marathon 2015 · 27 September 2015

Nephrotic Syndrome (NS) affects approx 10,000 people in the UK, majority are children, with no known cause or cure. The current treatment is non-specific and highly toxic, with many potentially life-threatening complications. NeST funds Bristol Children's Hospital in researching NS to find a cure.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

We are running this years Barnstaple Half Marathon in aid of NeST, the Nephrotic Syndromes Trust. Who raise much needed funds and awareness for sufferers and critical research in to Nephrotic syndrome.

This is a disease very close to us. My Partner's niece- Chelsea, 13, has suffered from NS since she was 5, and more recently diagnosed with FSGS, which is a life long illness.

Having spent many weeks in hospital over the years, including most recently a few stays at Bristol Children's Hospital. Despite the limitations of Chelsea's illness  she is a happy, outgoing, cheeky 13 year old girl.

We would LOVE to raise TONS of money to help this amazing, local charity based at Bristol's Children's Hospital to continue the fantastic research, and support.

We are also selling NeST wristbands, so contact me (Neil) via Facebook for more info.

Thanks a lot for your support guys!
