As someone who has managed to avoid sleeping outside pretty successfully throughout my entire life, the thought of being forced to sleep on the street is terrifying. A friend of mine felt the same way, and established the CEO Sleepout a couple of years ago.

On October 13th, I'll be joining him and some other folk and bedding down under the stars at Wembley Stadium. I've already had one terrible nightmare at Wembley – it was called the 1987 FA Cup Final – so I am as prepared as anyone who's never been camping can be.

I expect it will be cold, possibly wet, and once the initial novelty has worn off, thoroughly miserable, but at least I'll be going home at the end of it. Please dip into your pocket and sponsor me so that others are spared the ignominy and despair of homelessness.
