Story

Hi Everyone:

As most of you will know, my Mum, Stephanie Linpow passed away on the 5th of September shortly after being diagnosed with terminal cancer of the Pancreas.

The Macmillan unit in Christchurch hospital did an absoloutley fantastic job in caring for my Mum during the last weeks of her life.  It's quite simply unbelievable, the compassion, care and love that the doctors and nurses there give to patients like my Mum, and it was upsetting to see that they are criminally understaffed and under budgeted.

Now, as most of you will be well aware, the last time I ran for anything other than a bus was 10 years ago, and I feel that my decision to run a half marathon here in a little over a week and a half is somewhat bold to say the least.

With that in mind, I need all the support I can get, and knowing that I will be letting you and your donations down if I dont complete the race, coupled with a little help from the old girl upstairs herself, I am hoping to raise enough money to at least help Macmillan to continue doing the work that they do.

I know some of you have already sponsored my Brother to jump out of a plane, but if you can, have a go here too.

Much love.
