Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit the Team Manson Coastal Challenge JustGiving page.

Please help Zoe and myself raise some money to support our local men and families in their time of need when injured or their families are facing financial hardship.

We don't get to hear about the stories of the heroics or injuries sustained, fortunately the SBS association is in a position to help these men, their wives and children in their time of need as they rebuild their lives.

The 10km coast adventure (swim - Neil and Paddle Board -Zoe) will be pretty much the whole of the Bournemouth bay. Shore Road to Deck Chair Roundabout. As this is not in the harbour it is subject to tides, winds and sea conditions  (Air show taking out 1 weekend) so the date is planned for the 15th/16th  early morning and will take approx 3-4  hours depending on conditions. I suspect Zoe may end up doing more swimming than me ; ) Fall back date if conditions change will be 28th/29th and 30th.

Due to weather and sea conditions the 6.5Km Brownsea swim was postponed by organisers for safety and is now Sunday 23rd Sept in the relative sanctuary of Poole Harbour and will take approx 1hr 40.

Conditions and live webcams of the beach can be checked here: https://magicseaweed.com/Bournemouth-Surf-Report/12/
