We are the only UK foundation who are dedicated and aim to improve throat cancer treatment processes, help to develop better cures, support both patients and medical professionals and educate more people on how to look after their throats to lessen their risk of developing this horrible cancer.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In 2013 I joined a group of 15 other MAMILs (Middle Age Men In Lycra!) for a cycle challenge from Blackpool Tower in the UK to the Eiffel Tower in Paris (T2T).  Two years later the group returned to Paris and completed another charity challenge cycling to Nice (P2N).

This year the group are embarking on another epic adventure to raise money for charity.  This time we are starting in Zurich in Switzerland and will be riding 600 miles through 5 countries in 6 days to Zeebrugge in Belgium (Z2Z).

I previously raised money for cancer research and cancer care charities to enable them to continue the outstanding work they do developing diagnosis techniques and treatments and providing support to those living with cancer.

This year I will riding to raise funds for the Throat Cancer Foundation.

This is in memory of a much-loved friend and colleague Billy Lawson who sadly was taken from us by throat cancer earlier this year.  Billy was a charismatic and fun character that lived life to the full and always with laughter.  He will be greatly missed but we will forever hold many cherished memories of him.
