Yorkshire's 3 peaks ….Penygent, whernside

and Inglebrough

My sister Ruth has been suffering from
refractory coeliac disease for almost 4 years now….

Ruth has strictly adhered to a gluten free
diet from diagnosis but unfortunately the disease has progressed and she has many auto immune and neurological problems

Ruth was always an  extremely fit, active and independent person
who walked miles and swam almost every day.The impact on her life has been enormous, she has had to give up work, and needs constant help at home. She has very limited mobility, cannot leave the house alone and uses a wheelchair.

By taking up this challenge I hope to raise much needed funds for Coeliac UK and make people aware of this very complicated condition.

As for the walk itself, I know the 3 peaks very well and have walked them many times, although it sounds like a massive challenge I am pretty confident of completing ….21500 feet and 75 miles is not too bad!!

And I have my two walking mates Simon Russell and Richard Hirst keeping me company!
