Neil's Snowdon 24 page

Snowdon 24 · 8 July 2023
What madness am I doing now?
Starting and finishing at the foot of Snowdon, I'll be running/walking/staggering/falling up and down the mountain as many times as possible in 24 hours to raise some money for CARA (Centre for Action on Rape and Abuse).
Yr Wyddfa, or Snowdon in English, is the highest mountain in Snowdonia, and also the whole of England and Wales. It peaks at an impressive 1,085 m (3,560 feet).
My goal is to aim for 4 summits (The leaders do 10+, eeek!) This kind of event offers challenges to anybody giving it a go, but I also have the added complication of having Fibromyalgia (Chronic Fatigue + pain).
I'll be videoing the event itself so afterward you can enjoy the experience without the suffering!!!
Thank you in advance for reading this and being interested even if you haven't donated. Watch this space for updates.
