Neil was the youngest in our family, a much-loved son and brother in our home. He meant so much to our family circle and to his friends. 

Air Ambulance NI, in partnership with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS), provides the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) for the region and responds to seriously ill or injured patients, 12 hours a day, 7 days per week.

The AANI doctor and paramedic team bring pre-hospital emergency care across Northern Ireland that might just save a life. Sadly it wasn't the case for our Neil but we know that if circumstances were different that it likely would have been thanks to AANI. 

AANI is a vital service for Northern Ireland, the helicopter can get to any location in Northern Ireland in approximately 25 minutes. 

We have set an ambitious target to match the cost for Air Ambulance NI to operate for just one day. None of us know which of our loved ones may need Air Ambulance tomorrow so it’s really important that we keep service flying for everyone if the worst was to happen.

We have a wide variety of running abilities in our family, and we know Neil will be having a laugh at our attempt at the Belfast Marathon relay.
