As part of my year as President of Network Ireland West Cork I chose Cork Simon as the charity I would like to support. I have a number of
goals which I would like to achieve. Firstly Iwould like to raise significant funds and use my networks to create other opportunities for Cork Simon Community. I would also like to raise awareness of the complexity of homelessness and of Cork Simon Services. Ciara has an
aspirational goal of winning hearts and minds in West Cork on behalf of Cork Simon.
Sleep out for Cork Simon is simple - for one night we will give up the luxury of our bed and swap it for a sleeping bag on the ground in Sherkin on a dark and cold night in October.
As well as being a challenge, it is a great way to understand some of the realities that homeless people face, while also raising money and awareness to help Cork Simon Community fight homelessness.
