I decided to run the half marathon as a personal challenge but also to raise some money for a very worthy cause. 

None of our lives are untouched by cancer. Both my parents died from cancer and so I am very aware of the crucial work done by Irish Cancer Society. 

I have been training for a few months and now the goal of a half marathon is within my reach.
