Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

My dad, Seamus McCracken, was diagnosed with Parkinson's last year. The plan is to run the full Belfast marathon to raise money for Parkinson's UK. This is my first ever marathon and I would fully expect it to be my last. My dad has reliably informed me that he was a cross country runner back in the day so this should be handy for me as I've inherited his good genes, apparently.

I've set a target of £1,000 but honestly I'm grateful for any donations big or small.  I'm currently training at the moment which is minus craic, so any contributions you can make could give me the kick up the backside I need.

See you at the finish line!
