Nicholas Hudson's Mizen to Malin Cycle in 7 Days

Mizen to Malin Cycle in 7 Days · 20 September 2021
I'm cycling 575 miles, with climbs totalling 28,082 feet, from Ireland's most southerly point, Mizen, in County Cork, to the most northerly point on the island of Ireland, Malin Head, County Donegal.
I hadn't cycled for a few years, but after joining a cycling club in July this year, I've set myself this challenge as a way of supporting the wonderful work of the Northern Ireland Children to Lapland and Days to Remember Trust, (NICLT).
At any one time there are approximately, 1,500 terminally ill, life-limited or deserving children under the care of the Health and Social Care Trusts in Northern Ireland. Each year, these hospitals nominate 100 very special children for a magical trip to Lapland.
NICLT are the only charity in the world to charter their own plane to Santapark, Rovaniemi, Lapland. On the day, the plane is a flying hospital, as they have a consultant paediatrician and full medical support team. Sadly, for some of the children on board, this is the last trip they will make, as they are suffering from terminal illnesses or life limiting conditions. NICLT organise a dream day full of joy, smiles and excitement, creating truly enchanting memories that the children and families treasure forever.
Every donation, no matter how small, is very much appreciated and means more children can be helped. You can follow my challenge on Strava at: Strava Cyclist Profile | Nicholas Hudson.
Please help me to give this very special gift to deserving children.
Heartfelt thanks for your support, Nicholas Hudson.
