Nick moves 100km for Seed

Lake District Ultra Challenge 2023 · 10 June 2023 to 11 June 2023 ·
What am I doing?
The Lakes Ultra Challenge (continuous 100km)
Why am I doing this?
Following the loss of a very loved family friend, the charity Seed has become close to the hearts of both me and my family. Seed is a voluntary organisation that aims to provide support and empathy for people with eating disorders. With your donations, Seed can continue to provide support throughout the UK to both adults and children, including vital work they have done within schools.
On a personal level, the challenge of making my body move 100km (that’s 62 miles for you older folk), including 2,500m of ascent (8,202 feet) both terrifies and excites me! A lot of challengers opt to do the event over 2 days, however I’ll be pushing myself further to do it continuously without sleep. Having never done anything like this before, I really don’t know how long it will take me and it’s likely I’ll be clawing my way up and down the hills of the Lake District throughout the night (don’t worry I’ve bought a head torch). I’ll be aiming to jog as much of the 100km as I can, but can’t promise I’ll manage to run up all of the hills!
It’s going to hurt… but I’m certain the pain will be worth the rewards of supporting Seed and my own intrinsic reward when (hopefully when) I can say I did it!
