Myeloma UK is the only organisation in the UK dealing exclusively with myeloma. We make it possible to live longer and better lives with myeloma. Through research and treatments, we find new ways to a cure. Together, we are the cure.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our page.

On the 20th July 2016 my Dad was admitted to hospital with abnormal kidney functions. A week later, after shedloads of investigations, the diagnosis revealed that he has Multiple Myeloma (bone marrow cancer). Unfortunately this is a complicated disease for which there is currently no cure.

Luckily, being the wonderfully resilient person that he is, Dad is determined to fight this and regain as much of the diverse jet-setting lifestyle that he had before.

Today we ask you to support our chosen charity Myeloma UK, the only organisation in the UK focusing on Myeloma, helping patients live longer and with a better quality of life. A team of us are running the Rough Runner event on Clapham Common on Sunday 18th September. This is a 10k run and TV style obstacle course so it's going to be a challenge! Think Ninja Warrior UK combined with Gladiators sprinkled with a marathon.
