I thank all of you wonderful people for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

  One of my many lovely nieces has only just recently got her first all clear alert after two years of treatment for leaukemia. I (like all of us) know that all forms of cancer are just hideous along with so many other dreadful diseases in this day and age. 

  I have just recently been inspired by Emma Ruddick who has organised for herself and a few others to have their heads shaved for this charity. Due to this I shall be going bald myself (just in time for winter!) on Saturday the 1st of October. 

  Being a bloke this impending baldness thing makes me worry and wonder somewhat, but in comparison to the anxieties of a female (Emma) going bald. Let alone a cancer patient losing hair through treatment. By comparison this does seem insignificant!

 To add to my personal challenge, as of October the 1st I shall also be a non smoker after about 30 years of being a nicotine head. Now this plan does scare me witless, says he as he sparks up another! I do predict that I may look a little like the pic on this page in one months time........
