Brake is a national road safety charity that cares for road victims and campaigns for safer roads for all. Brake's National Road Victim Service is a specialist support service to help families cope with the shock, turmoil and devastation that road crashes cause families across the UK every day.

Story

This September marks precisely 2500 years since the legendary Pheidippides ran from Marathon to Athens to announce the victory of the Athenians over the Persians, collapse and die on the spot out of exhaustion. This anniversary makes this year's Classic Marathon race quite special. I decided to file an entry and raise funds for Brake, the road safety charity.

This is probably no surprise to those of you who know me personally and my dedication to road transport ergonomics and road safety research. Therefore, I decided to do something more practical about it...

If we haven't met yet, I owe you twice the gratitude for visiting this page and donating to Brake.
