Story
On Sunday I completed the Marathon in just under 3 hours 22 minutes. I was spurred on by the many generous donations and kind wishes I received. If you would like to contribute it is not too late!
As you may already know my mother died from pancreatic cancer last year. She spent her final days in a hospice near Hereford. I was amazed and moved by the level of care and attention provided. From the calm dignified environment to the wonderful, sensitive and caring staff.
I hope you have no occasion to visit a hospice but it is good to know that such a service exists. Did you know though that all hospices rely soley on charitable donations to do their work? With the recent impact of the financial crisis donations have plummeted and so I am running my first Marathon to help raise money for my local hospice, the Martlets.
Thank you so much for giving whatever you can manage.
