Mum always loved children. She would donate to charity appeals, but especially hated seeing children suffering. For that reason John and I decided to request donations to Save the Children in lieu of floral tributes at the funeral. Despite her limited means, Mum donated monthly to this charity, so we wanted to make a special effort in her memory.
