2010 Deep River Rock Belfast Marathon - Individual · 3 May 2010 ·

This year at Northern Ireland Children's Hospice we cared for over 370 children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, in both our inpatient unit - Horizon House and in the local community. We rely on your generous donations to continue to fund our vital services.

I decided on the way back down from the top of Ben Nevis, that it would be a great idea to run the Belfast Marathon.

I like a challenge so along with a few lads at work, have been training for the big race.

This will be my first & possibly last marathon, but it will hopefully raise lots of money for the

Northern Ireland Children's Hospice

Thanks for your donation.

I will keep updating this page with training.

Got an 8k race in Limavady Saturday 20th Feb 2010.

Last week & no more big runs lrft.

21 Feb 2010

The 8k race was very good. Complete in a time of 41'02". My best ever 8k.

Now training about 40k per week and time running out for the big day.

Thanks to all the donations so far.

26 April 20010

Last week & no more big runs left.

Did a 18 mile a few weeks ago in 2'45", so could be on for a 4hr time. Just hope to finish, but a good time would be great. The running has been great for weight loss. Lost 1st 4lb, so going to keep up the running after the marathon and may be do a few more.

Thanks for your donation.
