Nick Brackenbury does Ironman 70.3

Rotary Charity Fundraisers Ironman 70.3 UK · 15 June 2014 ·
This summer on June 15th I'm taking on Ironman 70.3 UK as both an epic personal challenge and a chance to make a real difference raising money for the Motor Neurone Disease association.
I'm taking on this epic challenge to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease association (MNDa) - a cause close to me, following a family friend's diagnosis several years ago with this currently incurable disease. MNDa is a small but critically important charity that provides invaluable support to those with the disease, as well as funding the essential research needed to one day find a cure.
Ironman 70.3 is made up of a 1.9km swim, 91km bike, and 21km (half-marathon) run to finish. Unbeknown to me when I signed up, the rolling hills of Exmoor make the UK course one of the toughest Ironman 70.3 events in the world, and will likely take me upwards of 6 hours to complete.
Any amount you can spare will not only spur me on through the 6 months of intense training I am taking on to tackle the Ironman 70.3 course, but more importantly will make a real difference to the lives of people living with MNDa and help bring the prospect of finding a cure that bit closer.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
Nick
