I have donated the £234 that CDCH would have contributed for my 15,000ft, 60 second freefall skidive, all further donations will go directly to benefiting the animals.

After fostering a dog from CDCH, I was able to witness first hand not only what an amazing job they do for the animals, but importantly, how much each inidvidual at CDCH really does care. They really do go above and beyond to find dogs (and cats) their perfect home.

I fostered a 12 year old, overweight labrador called Chico that had spent his whole life being spoilt by his hooman. In no way was this dog mistreated, nor had he had a bad life in any shape or form.  Unfortunately, his hooman passed away, and he was dropped off at CDCH as there was no one in the family to take him on.

CDCH immediately decided that it wouldn't be suitable to leave a dog like Chico in a kennel until a new owner was found. He just wanted to be with people. I fostered Chico for 2 months, and in that time CDCH were in constant communication, checking how he was, and if there was anything he needed. Being an old lab, he had joint issues. CDCH tried multiple different medications until they found one that suited Chico, and his movement noticably improved.

The adoption process was very thorough. Unfortunately, the first couple who passed the application process already had a lab, and upon introduction didnt quite click as well as they could have.

The second couple to meet Chico were fortunate enough to be a perfect match. He is now living on a small holding in Wales, spending his days slowly waddling along amongst the chickens, and saying hello to the sheep. I have had multiple letters from Chico's new hoomans, and it has all been a very heart warming experience.

Please donate any money you can spare to help them continue to do such great work with dogs and cats. Money is of course always a limiting factor to pro-active charities such as this.
