Story

Welcome to my page!

After having a stroke at 40 I learned first hand what it was like to no longer take things like driving my car or picking up a box for granted. After a three year journey I recovered and now have a whole new respect for people who have to find ingenious ways to live a life and do things we just take for granted.

I have been a Trustee at Paul's Place since July 2018 and I'm still learning how to do that, but I've loved meeting the members and hearing all of their amazing stories. One lady who is no longer here made a massive impact on me and I will be running with her in mind...

I have never ran for a bus and haven't even ran when chocolate was on offer, but figured perhaps I'd been telling myself the wrong thing all these years and just maybe I could do a 10k before I hit 50. I have new shiny trainers and socks, a lot of enthusiasm (unless it's dark and chilly) and so will give this a go.

Any support, however small will be massively appreciated and I know Paul's Place will make the most of every penny ensuring that their members get the best experience when they visit.

Thank you! :)
