On Wednesday 8th August at Great Ormond Street Hospital RoRo Pethard rung his end of treatment bell in recognition that he has kicked cancers butt!
Roro and his family have waited three and a half years for this moment and it was a very emotional day for all who know and love Rowan. Sadly as recent MRI brain scans have shown this is not the end of Rowans relationship with GOSH. Rowan has sustained changes to his brain due to three years worth of spinal chemotherapy for his Luekeamia. This is causing Rowan to have a severe neuropathy affecting his mobility.
With this in mind we taking part in a team for the GOSH Race For the Kids on Saturday 13th October in Hyde Park and we’re asking for your help again in making a donation to support Roro and the wonderful people who look after him at GOSH.
Having watched this amazing family fight this together over the past 3 years it’s hard to put into a paragraph what they have achieved. Regular trips to GOSH when they should have been on play days, overnight stays on chairs and camp beds so Roro was never alone. Not asking for sympathy or help while keeping life as normal as they could. The sickness, worry, heartache that they should never have gone through - but they did it! They survived because they are all nothing short of amazing! Please show your support if you can xx ❤️❤️❤️
