Ok, so as most of you will know, my sister Nina lives with a disability called Dystonia - not many people, including medical professionals have heard of this neurological condition - she has battled with this since birth, deteriorating with her symptoms and quality of life as she gets older... I am aiming to raise money for the Dystonia Society to not only support the charity for which my sister has been a part of fundraising toward but also to raise awareness about the condition; of which she suffers a very complex case, however which affects many people in many different ways. Nina is 27 years old now & she is the bravest person that I know, many of you do not see her on her difficult days, weeks, however she continues to do as much as she can for herself and does not live as a victim of her ailment & so, for me, bungee jumping 130 feet off the Cleddau Bridge (the only bridge in Wales that you can bungee over water) & being terrified of heights is a little sacrifice in the grand scheme of the challenges that she faces on a daily basis - I will include a link from Nina in order for you to understand a little bit more about her condition & how it affects her below - as I will be jumping on 19th August 2017 for charity, I have paid £75 towards the jump & £75 will be donated from funds raised, therefore my target for donations will be £375 to ensure that this is worthwhile for the Dystonia Society; if you cannot spare money for donation, please at least take 5 minutes out of your day to click on the links below & learn a little more about Nina's condition & thank you!
