HIPZ is a small charity with big plans to improve healthcare for everyone in Zanzibar. Our programmes improve hospitals and health services that are used by 1.8 million people. From maternal and child health to emergency medicine and mental health, we deliver long-lasting, locally led change.

Story

Kivunge is based in the north of Zanzibar and serves some of it's poorest communities. We have had a spate of essential equipment break recently, which is providing yet further barriers to try and deliver the best health care that we can: Torches so emergency surgery can happen in the dark during (frequent) power cuts, and an inverter so we can supply oxygen in the ambulance for transfer of critically unwell patients.

Personally, and as a representative for HIPZ, I would be so grateful for any contribution that anyone feels that they could spare. I will keep you posted on the great work that HIPZ is doing but also how your donations are going to a great cause.
