London to Brighton Challenge 2015 · 23 May 2015 to 24 May 2015 ·

Myeloma UK is the only organisation in the UK dealing exclusively with myeloma. We provide information and support to patients and their families and help myeloma patients live longer, with a better quality of life by accelerating the discovery, development of and access to new treatments.

Story

I am taking part in this 100k walk in memory of my amazing Dad, who sadly passed away with Myeloma in late 2013.

Very few people have heard of Myeloma which is an increasingly common cancer in bone marrow.  It was previously a cancer in older people however it is now on the increase in people under 55, there is currently no cure and it is a painful cancer causing bone pain and fractures (mainly in the spine).  All of this is pushing me to complete this challenge which I hope to complete in 20-23 hours.

Please help me achieve this goal and thank you for any help you can give, it really does mean a great deal to me and my family.

Nicola
