10k Run/walk at Walton Hall · 15 April 2018
As you know, I’m a bit obsessed with “getting my steps”. On 15th April, I’ll be on my 317th consecutive day of doing at least 7500 steps and at least 30 active minutes and I thought I should use this obsession to benefit others! So on Sunday 15th April, I’ll be walking 10k for Shipston Home Nursing.
I moved to Shipston in 2016 and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made. It’s the best place to live in the Midlands for the 2nd year running dontcha know. And if by walking 10k I can raise some money to provide hospice care to local people who have helped make this town what it is then it’s the least I can do.
Your donation will help them achieve their aims.... Their purpose is to care for terminally ill people who wish to be nursed at home. The service is run by a team of qualified nurses specialising in palliative care. Their nurses look after the patient, their family and those important to them, for the time required, in their own homes.
“You matter because you are you. You matter to the last moment of your life, and we will do all we can, not only to help you die peacefully, but also to live until you die” Dame Cicely Saunders (22/6 1918 – 15/7 2005)
