On the 29th of September I am taking part in a 5k run to raise money for Peterson’s fund for children. This amazing charity that helps local children with severe mental and physical disabilities provides so much for my cousin Celeese. Celeese has Agenesis of the corpus callosum(ACC) is a rare birth defect (congenital disorder) in which there is a complete or partial absence of the corpus callosum. It occurs when the corpus callosum, the band of white matter connecting the two hemispheres in the brain, fails to develop normally. Without this charity Celeese would not have access to the therapies and equipment that she does.
