In March 2019 SWV will be taking 26 medically discharged Veterans to Switzerland. With the help of specialist adaptive ski instructors, buddies, medics and support teams this will be the start of their rehabilitation back into employment.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am returning as a Ski Buddy and ex soldier, following a life-changing week last year and witnessing at first hand what this incredible Charity does for our wounded and mentally scarred warriors.

It provides them with an opportunity to ski; a sport none of them could imagine participating in following their injuries. It helps them regain lost confidence and rebuild their strength and fitness. The week is just the start of an ongoing rehabilitation relationship involving mentoring, pain management and the searching and securing of training, jobs and work placements. The Charity has an unparalleled re-employment success rate of 91% - and with only an 'admin load' of 7%. And for the sceptics amongst you - I have paid all my costs for this week - so you are NOT paying for NH-P to go skiing!!

As one of the Buddies for the week I have been asked to help generate vital funds to pay for this veteran adventure. So please give whatever you can (just a 'fiver' would be brilliant) using the 'Give Now' button. The more people that know about Supporting Wounded Veterans, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
