The Brittle Bone Society provides support for people affected by the rare, and painful bone condition Osteogenesis Imperfecta. It provides specialist advice, support and equipment to people with the condition, their families and carers, medical and other professionals.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The Thames Valley team of Finance Directors are dusting down their lycra to cycle for 24 hours on 2 static bikes to cover the equivalent distance from Lands End to John O'Groats.

The cover picture references "in their bones" a charity single, released in May by 6 year old Max and friends, to raise funds and awareness of a rare genetic disease called Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI), often referred to as brittle bones.

Young Max was born with OI and in his short life has endured severe pain and discomfort from 16 broken bones, there is currently no cure for this disease.  Max and his family are known to Paul Denning, the Regional Director for Thames Valley, and we were all keen to raise money to support the efforts of Max and this charity....while also encouraging us all to hopefully get a bit fitter!

Please donate to this good cause, every pound can help the charity to support tackling this disease and those children like Max who put on a brave face every day...… Thanks again!
