We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.

We are updating our page on Saturday 8th October. We have just returned from a few days helping a relative who has recently moved house, to find that we have exceeded our target again and it now stands at £735, which is fantastic! The money on our sponsor form now totals £218.50, as a result of an additional donation, so we are increasing our target to £782, in the hope that we may find a few more donors, so that the walk alone will have raised a total of £1,000. Many thanks to everyone for their generosity!

Hi all! We eventually reached Kirk Yetholm, the end of the Pennine Way, on Saturday 24th September at about 3.30pm, on schedule, after 19 days of walking. The walk, which started in pouring rain, ended in sunshine! We had to walk uphill into Kirk Yetholm, which was a fitting end - in character with the walk! The elements made walking a bit of a struggle at times but we met some very interesting and generous people and raised nearly £200 on our sponsor form (which will be sent directly by cheque) to add to our just giving fund raising, where we are hoping that we will achieve £600, including our own donation. We would also like to thank the PA of Simmondley School, who raised £258 to support the cause at the end of term. (This was sent directly to the charity by cheque.) In total, Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research will be bettter off by over £1,000. Everyone's generous support for this worthy cause has made it all well worthwhile. We are sure that we will have many happy memories of the walk. Many thanks to everyone who has donated! This page will stay open for three months so we will be very grateful for any additional donations! Best wishes and many thanks to you all, Nigel and Claire.
