Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Alex South was the best man. From his infectious laugh to his kindness to others to his lovely warm hospitality. He was a true gent. He sadly passed away earlier this year from bowel cancer, a cruel and indiscriminate disease. Leaving two beautiful boys and one of the strongest ladies I know, Ros, his wife.
Alex was only 34 when he passed away, he had no obvious symptoms and had always led a healthy life. It hugely spoke to me that this can happen to any of us.
So I decided to do this triathlon to raise awareness and to see if we can get some money together to help fund research for a cure in the not too distant future. I haven't ever done anything like this before, but I wanted to do something. Alex adored his sport, his rugby, golf and cricket so it seemed fitting to do something that he would have liked. So when I finally get over that finish line, this one is for you Al.
