Spinal Research UK is a charity set up in defiance of all those in the medical world who said that once a spinal injury had occured, there was little hope of any real recovery. Spinal Research UK has been working hard from the beginning, using the most recent technologies known in medical science to find a way to get those with the most debilitating spinal injuries back to a normal life. NOW is the most exciting stage though.... the point at which all the hard work in the labs is taken to trials with REAL HUMANS.... this is where the real break-through will happen and to make it happen Spinal Research need to keep fundraising.... For that reason I am running for Spinal Research. I hate running... absolutely hate it.... but every single mile I will remind myself that at least I can run and if my efforts go some small way to helping someone else run again, then it will be worth it.... and that is my motivation.... that and the thought that I might finally lose my fat baby belly!!!
