Once a week I volunteer at the Mount Vernon Cancer Center, in Northwood (MIDDX) by serving lunch in the wards and stop to chat with the patients and loved ones, and offer any other support to ease the nurses burden, who are very busy and do not have that time to spare.

I come across many patients undergoing treatment of various cancers and I have learnt that this illness is indiscriminate.

Mount Vernon Cancer Centre Charitable Fund exists to support patients and their loved ones across the whole Centre,  which comprise of wards, radiotherapy , chemo suits, and  offers free complimentary therapies and counselling to patients.

The Mount Vernon Cancer Centre relies on generous donations to purchase specialist equipment, refurbish patient and visitor areas and provide emotional and practical support.

Training for the London Marathon is really tough, but for sure easier than having to undergo cancer treatment. Every pound raised will make a difference.  Thank you very much for your support!
