Story
My brother Brian was a fearsomely intelligent, deeply caring man who loved his wife and children dearly. He worked as an engineer in Boston, USA, but was diagnosed with leukaemia when he was 28 whilst visiting family in Belfast. The treatments he received, though awful at the time, gave him 12 more years of life. In that time he and his wife were able to work and travel, and had the great joy of having twin boys. Brian died in June 2015 from complications arising from his bone marrow transplant.
Brian said that if he got better, he would raise money for leukaemia and lymphoma research by running a marathon. I would like to swim a marathon to fulfil this wish. Thank you for your support.
