Story

Our goal is to raise at least €5895, the height of the Kilimanjaro in meters.

Dear family and friends,

As the girl in the middle of these two fabulous boys I have decided to be in charge of writing this letter asking you to help us raise money for a good cause. This summer, my mom, dad, Rem, Boudy and I, will embark on a journey to climb the mount Kilimanjaro. As I am starting my gap year in September, I am looking forward to start the summer by doing something special. In the past I have done charity work in Africa and Guatemala and this summer I will face the challenge of climbing the highest mountain in Africa. However we would like others to benefit from our challenge. Therefore we would like to raise money for an organization called Human Rights Watch (HRW). HRW is a non- profit organisation, not financed by the government, so it is fully dependent on the donations from people like you and me. I think the name of the organization says enough. Its main goal is to investigate human abuse, expose all facts widely, and pressure those with power to respect rights and secure justice. We chose this organisation because so much good is being done with the donations from people. HRW really has been able to change people’s lives. No donation is too big or too small. Remember you are never obligated to make a donation. If you want to find out what kind of cases Humans Rights Watch handles or is faced with, please visit their website: www.hrw.org.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this letter and we especially thank the people making a donation!
