Norah & Michael Mc Aree and family are having a “Do” – Dinner & Dancing on Saturday 15 September 2012   in Balmoral Golf Club in aid of N.I. Leukaemia Research Fund .

Our son Michael has just finished his third of four bouts of Chemo and is currently in Belfast City Hospital.

We appreciate all the prayers, thoughts and cards we have received they have provided great support to the whole family.

Many people have asked if they can help in any way and to be honest we feel the same sense of powerlessness ourselves, hence the idea of a function to raise some funds for Research which can be locally focussed. Most of the treatments are novel and experimental as the standard treatment does not work so well in many cases. Therefore research and trials are of the utmost importance.

We would also encourage people to give blood and platelets as the availability of blood and platelet transfusions has been vital in Michael's treatment.
