Dad became ill and was diagnosed with Myeloma at the beginning of June. He tried chemo but it wasn't for him and he decided that he wanted palliative care only. He was admitted to Pembridge for symptom control and was due to come home. Unfortunately, his condition deteriorated quickly and he died on Monday August 6th. The care that he received in the hospice was second to none. He was treated with respect and dignity and passed away peacefully without suffering. As a family, we were also treated with respect and care. We would like to remember dad by raising money for the hospice so that other people with terminal illness can also find peace, comfort and excellent care at Pembridge.
