I am having my legs waxed prior to Ride Like A Pro Vuelta trip, part of Saxo Bank cycling programme.

Never sacrifice style for speed!! Apparently riding like a pro has nothing to do with how well I ride my bike, it has to do with how good I look on a bike! Having a nice bike and matching kit however is not enough. 

There is nothing like bulling in the playground. It seems that a bunch of 40 something’s pretending to be Cav are just as good at it as 5yr olds! First it was gentle teasing words in private but then it escalated to public thrashings. My 4th cat tat (chain ring marks) would be easier to clean off before anyone noticed if I had smooth shiny legs. Next comes the official argument about the extra watts I’d save, yeah that’s an excuse these guys use to sell the idea to their wives and non-cycling friends.

Lastly I am reliably informed that the ‘cycling’ chicks dig it!! 

I am therefore relenting. If I am to give in and suffer, they can all put their money where their mouth is and pay up to raise money for the Alberto Contador Foundation.
