Story

Update dated 08.11.13

I would like to thank everyone for their continued support over the past few difficult months and your donations have been amazing. Mum will always live in my heart, but the support of these people still deserves my ongoing recognition. And hopefully I can generate a bit more for her recommended charity. Therefore I am growing my first ever terrible moustache for the month of "movember".... I look hideous, please take a look at the pics and if it makes you smile.... Please donate a pound or two or three or four etc...... Thank you soooooo much. Mum would be so proud of my caterpillar, and tell me I look like a div!!!!

After being diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer last year, Norma fought hard to battle with this terrible disease, Undergoing numerous kinds of treatments to make her comfortable through the past 10 months, from all kinds of specialised dedicated doctors, consultants and nurses. Sadly on  August 15th 2013 at home with her family she passed peacefully in her sleep.

To be at home in her last days was her wish, and although we would like to thank each and every organisation that took the time to care for her, the one organisation in particular was the district nurses. Each and every one of them who came to nurse her were truly amazing.

mum had everything she could ever wish for to make her comfortable and if she had any problems the district nurses would provide a soloution.

The charity chosen to donate to provides the equipment and services it takes to make people much more comfortable at home. The donations will provide much needed Funding for the supply of such equipment. So people like mum can have the aids to help them.
