We give children a week on working farms to raise self esteem and confidence.

Story

This half term it’s Book Week and the Pre Prep children are raising money for the charity, ‘Farms for City Children’. The challenge is for the children to read and review as many traditional tales as they can between February half term and the Easter holidays. The children can read and review any traditional tales, including traditional tales from other cultures.

Please support your children by helping them to source traditional tales, by reading with them, and talking about the stories they have read. Please help your child to collect sponsorship money for this worthwhile cause.

About the charity

Founded in 1976 by children's writer Michael Morpurgo and wife Clare. A weeks stay on one of our working farms aims to develop potential, build self-esteem and enrich the lives of 3,200 children from inner cities, and towns annually. Many are disadvantaged and some have special educational needs.
