OSCARS charity of the year

Static Bike Challenge · 24 October 2016
OSCARS has pledged to raise £4000 this academic year through a number of events. The £4000 will pay for a group of 16 vulnerable Scottish primary school children plus support staff to attend the HopScotch residential activity centre (Ardvullin) for a week and experience their first holiday.
OSCARS held a static bike challenge involving each of our after school clubs cycling 89.1 miles (the distance between all our clubs) on an exercise bike and the challenge took place throughout November. We would like to thank Hire Fitness - www.hirefitness.co.uk - for their assistance with the bikes.
This challenge raised a MASSIVE £2378.23 and we would like to thank everyone of our children, parents and friends who participated and donated. What an effort!!!
After School Clubs have also held bake sales and raffles as ongoing events.
In the New Year we will be holding further events with the aim of reaching our £4000 target or indeed exceeding it!
OSCARS have introduced a charity challenge cup which will be presented to the club who raises the most amount per pupil over the course of the academic year.
